1. Bangkok

Bangkok is Thailand’s capital. It combines a mordern city and ancient temples. Bangkok has many amazing affordable cafes around it’s city. It is also one of the best places to shop for cheap clothes in the world.

Here are some must see places in Bangkok:

  • The Grand Palace: A dazzling complex that has been the heart of Thai royalty for centuries.
  • Wat Pho: Home to the famous Reclining Buddha and traditional Thai massage school.

Phuket has to be one of my top favourite places to visit in Thailand. It is home to sandy beaches with lush blue water. Head to the closest beach clubs for amazing sunsets. Some of the best beaches to visit in Phuket include Patong beach, the nightlife area perfect for parties and water sports or Kata and Karon Beaches, as they are way more secluded comparatively for a peaceful vibe.

4. Krabi

With its dramatic limestone cliffs and turquoise waters, Krabi is a paradise for adventure seekers. There are many activities to do in Krabi such as rock climbing, kayaking through mangroves, snorkeling, and hiking through lush trails. It definitely is one of the must visit places in Thailand.

5. Pattaya

Pattaya, located on the eastern Gulf coast of Thailand, is a vibrant city known for its beautiful beaches, lively nightlife, and diverse attractions.

Tips for Traveling in Thailand

  1. Best Time to Visit: November to February for pleasant weather.
  2. Currency: Thai Baht (THB).
  3. Stay Hydrated as it gets really hot during the day and use sunscreen to protect your skin from the UV rays.
  4. Language: While Thai is the official language, English is widely spoken in tourist areas.
  5. What to pack: Lightweight clothing, a sun hat, sunscreen, a portable charger and insect repellent.
  6. Be wary of scams whether it be at the beach or your ride back home.
  7. Carry cash to use at markets and street stores. Although ATM machines are widely available, there is a conversion rate that applies for every withdrawal.
  8. Transportation: Tuk-tuks, taxis, and public transport are readily available.
